Took a couple workshops there a few years ago. learning about mics, recording on tape, all the good stuff :joy:
and I've been there for random reasons, to pick up an amp for someone or whatever :omg:

Never showed them anything related to your cloudscapes projects? I think your stuff would fit in nicely in the CST collective.

ahhhhhh dunno dont think I fit. they got a nice lineup of folky punky weird rock and they haven't been doing the droney stuff as much lately.

if I ever get "professionally recorded", it'be more likely at the Pines
http://www.thepinesrecording.com/
and I think Dave there would be more in tune with the textural dark ambient droney and a bit synthy stuff I do lately

Explosions are alright to me...sometimes they're songs are abrasive...and other times they are too sleepy

Its great but some parts of it are getting really trendy and overrun by hipsters. :p And because of that appartment prices go up.

And of course there are the snobs who move here because it's the "in" thing or something.

And thankfully, there are still lots of the good honest folk who live here because... well, because they're too lazy/cheap to travel far to see the good shows. :joy:

yeah i read about that at the Mile End wiki. that's just how gentrification works though. the punks/artists/creative types get priced out & they go find cheaper places to live. which in turn gentrifies that neighborhood. i actually identify/sympathize more teh poorer people, immigrants & long-time residents whom get priced out of their neighborhoods then the gentrifiers that draw the urban professionals, yuppies & hipsters to the gentrifying neighborhood. i can't wait 'til gentrification hits the suburbs !!!

is the snob thing more of canadians from the "provinces" moving to Montreal w/ a built in snobbish-ness or something. is it a systemic problem or just an annoyance.

:)

I don't really know of any bands around here, but Caspian was around here last week at this place known as the Ottobar. I wish there were more bands like you guys that would come around here, but I guess the scene is not as big. :idk:

NW, your song reminds me of the "unreleased' stuff by 65daysofstatic. Glitchy sonic landscapes are fun.
