Well, the LBM definetly has a HUGE drop in bass... and volume. :/

I've never noticed it, I think it's because I keep my tone knob just a little bit past 12 o clock, so it's already pretty bassy.
And as far as a volume drop, I think the LBM has MORE volume on tap than my old NYC Muff had - in fact, thats the reason why I got RID of my NYC Muff in the first place. LOL
I guess you just have to find the magical one for you, it seems every Muff is different, even if they're the same model.

The main reason I want a mustang is not for the obvious cobain/ fuzz take, but for that icepick outta phase sound in brit pop. 90s how I miss thee....

Well, I've A/B tested the NYC to a LBM and the volume cranked on the LBM = 55% on the NYC and my friends has virtually no bass, even with the tone all the way down and using humbuckers, which on the NYC means the whole house shakes.
