so i was messing around with some stuff because i wasnt really feeling the sound anymore...
and i think i found something.. well.. pretty cool... take a listen

oh and that was recorded with an acoustic hence the weak sustain

That is pretty sweet, for sure, especially from 2:45 on. So that came from the circuit that you thought was "un-chaosed?" Interesting... well, it's a win-win either way...

so the idea is that its supposed to go along with other pedals.. so you get your own sound out of it.. it seams to push cleans through alot of distortion which is cool.. it clears everything up while adding chaos.. which I dig..
you decide.. better or worse than the original

Sorry - been working and carting the kid off to a birthday party. I do dig it quite a bit. Don't know about the name "Helping Hand," just because it feels like the pedal's doing more than that - the name doesn't really reflect the squealy / ring-mod-y / modulation-y aspect... unfortunately, neither do the other names.
In any case, whatever you call it, it is a cool pedal, and definitely deserves more attention!

Whoa, it's way different now. It's a really awesome noisemaker... I bet it'd be cool on a synth.
