BTBAM is cool. also, that Bring me the Horizon video made me think. they're probably one of the worst bands i've ever heard, but their newest album had some really awesome ambient-ness to it. the old guitarist from I killed the prom queen joined them and added a completely new aspect of ambient textures to their sound. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm kinda looking forward to their next album.

I still find myself slipping half time "breakdowns" into my music all the time, even after 4+ years of not listening to this kind of stuff on a regular basis.
and fuck you, the opening chugga chugga on this song still gets me pumped as fuck to lift heavy things and punch skinny kids with frullets in the face
Love me a good breakdown, but not everyone can make them
also just going to half time snares with some double kicks underneath could be considered a breakdown, huh... that means i'm using them in my music as well probably not in that obvious way i guess though

I used to feel that way, then it got to the point where every area band used them on every song in the most predictable way. Thank got sludge has been gaining momentum. It's like the whole song is one, half time breakdown.
BOOM-SHAKALAKALAKA-BOOM-SHAKALAKUNGA
