How much copper shielding do you need? Did you already order? I may have a pile, but it's like 3/4 inch
I didn't order yet. Just enough to cover the pickup cavity of a Mustang/Cyclone body.

Found a sticker on the ground. Adding to the collection. Still need to get this thing stickered up and built. I'm trying to figure out an appropriately trashy pickup combination.

What pickups have you got already and what is the “but more . . . “ that you’re shooting for?
Consider that wiring may give you different sound options without replacing pickups. For instance, if that Tone Zone is too bass heavy and wooly, wiring it in parallel may do the trick.

I've actually never heard the Tone Zone, since the guitar came to me broken. I'm going for a "traditional" Cyclone with a single at the neck and a humbucker bridge. I think I'll start with the Tone Zone at the bridge and see if I can find a cheap Mustang pickup for the neck. I need to see what I can do with push/pull pots, as I'd like a tone stack bypass.

You could skip the switch and use a no-load pot for the tone control—at the “ten” setting, there is zero resistance, so it takes the tone circuit out with the need for a switch. Unless you prefer toggling no-tone vs. your dialed-in setting.
You can by or mod a pot to no-load—there are instructions out there.

No Load tone pot. makes this little punk stick even better. Definitely shooting for simplicity.

I'm so out of the loop on what's hip now, but I kind of want to know more. The idea of getting one of those tees tickles me.

The story is, I was doing a painting, I burst out laughing at how creepy the character looked, he became my avatar, a couple of people asked about him and... the congregation of Frank was born and now he worries the forum.
And Goroth fucking hates him.
