I got a MkI 50 maybe 4 years ago to pair with my Gemini I and loved it. Installed the Clean Twin Sneaky Amp pretty quickly and never looked back. Then when I moved out of my big house into a small apartment last year I picked up a MkII and haven't even hit the software; I rarely use the Ampeg now and when I go stereo I use the two Katanas. I run 7-20 pedals through it/them and they all sound great. Bought one for my ex off Craigslist, she loves it too. Everytime I think I need to shell out a couple thou for a couple Quilters, I just go back and crank my Katanas and the urge subsides.

Yea, the "Clean Twin" is my standard in the GT-100 and GT-001 patches as baseline most of the time.

The MK II I'm happy with the "alternate clean" (when you press the variant button) when I don't want a lot of gain.

I went into the software to change the drives built in and make some minor tweaks, but I haven't needed to since doing that other than to update it to get the HM-2 in the latest firmware (and put that in place of the dirtbox that was there for more standard things - I don't even remember what it was now!).

My pedalboard costs approximately 191 Metal Zones.

I just got a mini katana to free myself from headphone tyranny and it's very fun to play with

How do you like the mini? I keep waiting for a local 50 or mini to pop up.

it's very nice! All three modes are usable and it's loud enough for my porpoises, which is to quietly shred in my underwear on the couch. It has a ton of bass, so I usually keep that dial low. I love that it has a simple delay instead of a reverb. Haven't tried the direct out yet. I want to try running some synths through it, too.
