I fucking love when metal guitars have hot neon pink or crazy neon green on them. Especially the Ibanez guitars with the neon green pickups. I’d fuck with a 7/8 string like that so hard.
Dave, in my old grind band, used to play with a hot pink super strat.

Dave sounds like a sick shredder and I support this 100%

So I managed to seek of on my lunch break and head in to ye old Old Town Music - the selection was mostly fender and a few sub 200 older guitars. I went straight for the telecaster squire and then a MIM Stratocaster - Way preffered the body style and feel of the strat compared to the telecaster body.

I would be super happy with the strat - its not wild like I want it too be ( I am 40 and with kids - I have relive my youth some how). I am going to pop into centaur guitar next week and see what they got.

Maybe see if some MIM Charvels are in budget and give the right vibe? They’re a Fender brand and some models are really Strat-y with essential but not over-the-top Super Strat treatment.

Those two are so different I can’t give an opinion.. :hello: I mean personally I’d get the lp because I like the things... but it’s all about the sound you want and the stuff you want to play.

The RG would be way more solid for the money, but it'll probably sound a bit anemic with the stock pickups, and changing strings won't be fun.

They're both styles of guitar that you really want to play before buying, though. Skinny ass ibanez necks, and the ergonomics of a Les Paul are love/hate kinda things.

^^ yeah these are two different beasts. Personally I would also take the LP (after playing it to check it's good)because that's more my style. But the RG is gonna be faster, it's got the trem obviously... if you want those things get that!

I can't play wizard necks. I mean I can. But not if I can avoid it.
Unless they are the necks of actual wizards but that's not cool. We need them in the forest, arriving to things exactly when they mean to.

The gas is hitting me hard so I am for now going to cool it - I thought about going today and picking those up but I may just visit them. I am taking a week off of work so I taking my bass down and then getting into the wood shed to technique.

There are few stores outside of my area that I am going to visit to see if I can get my actual hands on something. For Bass I can just order something online but for my second guitar I need it to at least feel right.

A real good place to start is with Uncle Ben Eller's stuff.
Dude is a total shredder, makes videos that are fun without being tiring, and has a knack for explaining stuff.
