I am totally fine with most of my gear not being boutique darling stuff, that in itself is not a goal for me.
If I treated my pedals as pokémon cards and instagram as the schoolyard I might have actually cared more about what the social status of my pedals is. But as long as I am mainly recording I suppose I don't
It's about attacking people. Making them feel bad for climbing out of the hole they came from.
Well you've made me very happy indeed I crawled out of bed over the last few days

Please continue to vent I'm really enjoying this

Not a fan either. Used to be but I just can’t. I wouldn’t say they don’t deserve anything however. Joel went out and made it happen. So good on him. I don’t dig his boxes as much but I wish him all the success in the world and hope he gets it too.

I was going to take my Blooper out of my set up for a while as I'm not using it much, but decided last night that I'd be better off selling.
I'm still keeping my Mood as it's more useful to me than the Blooper and I like a lot of the sounds I've got out of it so far.
I doubt I'll buy any more CB pedals purely because they're too full of options and all those little switches are too irritating.

Okay yes, your pedals are both analogue and digital or whatever, and you add way more functionality with dipswitches, but soon enough, pedals and hardware fx will become more and more like DAW's and plugins. This is not gonna be something that's special soon.
I think the issue is having access to functionality for guitarists while playing guitar.
A DAW or plug-in already has far more functionality and fidelity than guitar pedals.
Why buy four different pedals when you can buy one program to run lots of different
algorithms?
The issue is how do you access parameters while actually playing guitar without having
to bend over to twiddle-twaddle your laptop. MIDI is one way. Presets offer another way.
Buttons are just one way. MIDI allows for accessing functionality through MIDI controllers.
That's helpful for some. But obviously not for everyone.
You can sprinkle vitriol on anything and everything, but that doesn't make it a panacea.

Hey Woolworm this is how you should react to stuff you don't dig with respect and tact not this trivial childish BS.

I mean why not just put your pedal board on a table at that point?

Maybe you missed the part about playing the guitar (with both hands). That still leaves the feet free.
Which is why some people use MIDI-devices to control parameters that can be stomped on (leaving the hands free for playing guitar).
Or wait... are you' advocating guitarists stand on a table and stomp on their table-top pedal board? Checks out.

Intriguing. Buh', if you're a big band, they can just set it all out in a DAW and play each one on the setlist including the automation / whatever changes during the song.

If you're a "big band", you're not spending your time on here talking about peddles.
