If you had been paying attention you would have noticed an emerging new kind of pedal.
Through the duck tape, booby traps and chaos you would have glimpsed the true nature behind John Schumann's original design.
This is the very pedal that caused him to give up building after completing only a few units.
Years ago, I remember hearing a customer sent his Pll back for repair and after 3 months of waiting received an unusual email.
I am not lying when I tell you this. It was revealed that Schumann, who had never kept a Pll for himself, had over the
years forgotten the design and fell in love with the customers pedal, attempting to run off with it.

This is not the mark of a regular builder. You see, I've encountered few pedals like this.
Each pedal is a meticulous labor of love. It's eccentric genius cannot be held to the same standard as a regular boutique.
It is the pinnacle of unobtainium. A boutique boutique where the builder has poured his very soul into what he is creating to
the point it transcends itself and becomes art. This is the shit legends are made of.

You do not understand what's happening. To simply have someone else build you one is an insult to this mans art.
If you don't appreciate it enough build your own interpretation then you do not understand what is it, you cannot comprehend what you
are playing and you don't deserve it.
Holy post is holy

Pretty story. Too bad the pll sounds like shit.

Echo Park made all of the #ambientnotes before anyone else.

Until someone can best these feats pedals aren't relevant anyway, so you might as well buy DBA or Earthquaker Red Panda or whatever floats your boat.
Omg completely forgot about line 6. Yeah og shit.

But bro have you actually tried a red panda pedal? Jump on a particle 2 or tensor and you will see.

I *think* I get it, though. You're not hating on anyone in this thread (PLAYERS gotta PLAY) - you're just "curating" a "different aesthetic".

The only Red Panda exposure I get is on the forum, When people have posted about their stuff I've have looked it up, got board and went back to whatever I was doing. They [to me] seem to be nitched to a market [guitar, guitar dudes] and has no interest to me. Really Outside of noisyassfuzzes [which I have sold most of my collection of] I have never cared for any of the "cool" gear for making "cool" sounds.. I like basic stuff that works well.. If I need weird, I can make most things weird for I am weird :doom:

Line 6 gets shit for the same reason as the Metal Zone, DS-1, etc. Add to that the amount of players that expect to plug and play and actually have something sound good. Most first impressions of L6 gear are the beginner's Spider, the tube/analog purist's experience with the original POD years ago, and uninspired Youtube influencers.

L6 toe the line for conservative guitar players but there are always nuggets of creativity. The previously mentioned DL4 is 21 years old. Octo verb is from the Verbzilla, 14 years old. Particle verb from M13, 12 years old.

Helix/HX Stomp/HX Effects can be absolutely crazy. Glitch looper, 3 and 4 note synth waves (use a footswitch and set it up like a Moog Taurus), tons of fuzz, filters, and EQ. AND it's easy to use. Not some deep edit rack unit with a huge learning curve. L6 handed guitarists an insane amount of creative potential but we ignore that and demand they model a Dumble...

Turn off the effects on that amp and you'll immediately hear how bad it sounds. Loud? Yes. Good? In your dreams!

I must say this is overall a better thread.

I had a particle and an infinite jets and both did the same thing where they made everything sound like that particular pedal. That eventually gets boring. Because of the particle I never really got the point of a tensor and the context reverb just seems swallowed by all other reverb options honestly.

But, maybe I have grown and changed. I could see myself trying the particle again
