does anyone know if the DBA room uses a spin chip? just curious. I think I'm finally caught up on the new peds. I'm torn between a rooms, context 2 or dig (golden ratio) for my end of chain feels. Is there a pink reverb out there?

I just got a Gamechanger Light Pedal from the pre-order. I've only had the chance to noodle around for 15 minutes so far, but it's bonkers.

Let those springs ring! Curious to see how different it is from standard spring reverbs.

I generally don't like reverb pedals, but I took a chance on the light pedal and I don't know why. Glad I did so far. It's, to me, far superior than their other pedal efforts (which are pretty meh past the gimmick. The tube thing was cool for the crackle, but I've had other pedals that are close enough).
Three blends (reg spring, dry, and optical effect), a nice gate (that's actually neat how it works with lights, and some nice modulation). Haven't played it too much, but it feels like an amp reverb with more too it (and the trek is kinda like the old ampeg echo, but less throbby to me). Quirky too (like if trails are on, you can still crash the tank and hear it).
The optical side shines light as a dampener. White and red lights flash for the modulation (envelope or LFO). I've had fun with it since I got it and before I got told to stop playing.
All that on a momentary or latching switch is awesome.
I've never liked a reverb pedal before. It's weird. Bitquest's reverb was cool, but I don't know. Still surprised this caught my interest. Haha.

About as fast as you can turn on and off a light switch. It gets fast enough to were it's hard to tell. For more oscillation type sounds, there are the feedback and harmonic modes.

Reverb heads -
I usually don't mess around with stereo on guitars, but since I'm just entertaining myself for the time being, I'm thinking of setting up two amps to mess with stereo. I actually have stereo reverbs and delays, but I was toying with the idea of setting up different verbs in mono on the chain to each amp. I know, just do eet

nothing will break, but I was curious if others have done that and whether it is cool cool or just kinda awkward like early mid-sixties stereo with different parts of the band panned hard left and right, or does it just create an unpleasant phase cancellation mess?

Curious to hear your thoughts on this pedal after having it for a while. It's top of my GAS list right now, but I 100% don't need a $500 (CAD) spring reverb pedal. But like,
want a $500 spring reverb pedal.

You should do it! Stereo delay is an excellent start as long as the dry/left out is always active. I don't understand all the nerds that make it out be so complicated, probably just to clickbait videos on how to do it, or just guitarists having to make a big deal out of things as usual. That being said I do have quite a few splitters and pedals with two outs, it's just a feature I always take as a huge bonus. I've never had an issue with either phase weirdness or hum, except for once in a building with dodgy power and two unfamiliar amps. And as long as you don't have your amps a mile apart or are listening on headphones, verb on only on side (or two + dry) won't confuse anyone's ears. Guess it depends on the verbs, maybe not everything meshes great in parallel. Or maybe it does? What's the reverberation situation with you?
Oh and the Light Pedal optical spring machine sounds bonkers, I would actually love to have one of those.
