Also in this category, Public Enemy and Front 242. Who else does this?
Not exactly the same, but Damian Marley's got a Flagman.

Dude legit danced his ass off holding a giant Jamaican flag for 90 minutes when we saw him a long time ago.

+1.

in 1979 i was living in a half-flat on the near north side of Chicago. we were quite friendly with the couple who lived across the hall, and so we were burning one with them after returning home from work for the evening. Alan had leaned out the window when we arrived yelling "have you heard about the plane crash?" I said "no," and so we were listening to the news. his partner, whose name i cannot recall, was listening with half an ear standing with us until they said the flight. at that point she literally turned a pale shade of grey, her legs collapsed under her, and she landed in a cross-legged posture sitting on the floor. She was to have taken that flight to the National Booksellers' Convention out of O'Hare, but canceled because she "felt funny about it."

I once saw someone do something similar to that. About a minute into the Parkland school shooting (in Florida that really resulted in a massive media campaign about gun control in the states) I was walking into a meeting with a co-worker visiting my office in NY. Yep, she lived in FL and her son was an active student in that school. No one knew there was a shooting going on, but as she was walking into the meeting, her son called her to say he was okay. She naturally fell apart with fear and emotion and totally did the rag doll thing (I had never seen anything like that before).

The weirdest part was that the meeting was maybe 8 people about 50/50 male/female and this was deep in the #metoo thing so all the males were affraid to comfort her w a hug. I later spoke to 2 employees of this woman who drover her to her hotel to get her things and then to the airport and they told me they were afraid to enter her hotel room and help her pack up due to the metoo thing. Crazy times....nothing like now, but still.
