This list is slightly odd, but I've played and/or own a lot of the likely candidates.

Bought the Fuzz Mutant because of this thread. That in stereo with the Gamechanger Plasma has my distorted shit sounding the best ever. So smooth with so much character

Just making sure you realize the tourbox is only gonna be U.S. for right now. Don't wanna get your hopes up.

Thoroughly agree! :thumb: Love what John does. :!!!:

I think John may need a couple more three letter pedal names.

Nah, it's not too soon. :snax:

I'd like to get about ten people in the U.S. committed to it. :poke:

Jero, cbm, dandolin and some others are definitely in. (Although, it'll be difficult selecting pedals some people haven't already tried.)

I'll start a seperate thread when we get closer to the tourbox actually happenin'. :thumb:

I'm in!! I don't care which pedals. I'm into anything since I haven't tried any of them.

At the end of the day, I feel this as well.

Ps. Unless the Foxey Lady becomes my new favorite fuzz when it gets here, I may can add it into the box if there's interest.

They're all new to me. I've only heard about Mutant Fuzz (based on the one used by Os Mutantes). That's the extent of my knowledge.

Basic Audio is great. John usually makes them a lot more versatile and accepting of different input levels. I've tried a few (thanks to Chankgeez), and they've all worked exceptionally well with guitar, keyboards, drum machines, etc.

Count me in on a tourbox too.

This thread got me interested in BA again... I've watched many vids and listened to many sound clips, displaying most pedals. Most demos are centered on the Neil Young/ Dave torn kind of fuzz. I mean melodic, wide sound, blurry chords into reverb etc... Beautiful sounds... Is it the genuine vibe of Basic Audio, or is it just the players using it a certain way? Can you achieve tighter sounds, single-note based riffs, more modern playing? To put it the other way: a fuzz war or something from Infanem can do massive/modern/ripping sounds, but maybe wouldn't be a top choice for Neil Young stuff...
See what I mean?
So, from your experience, which Basic Audio pedals stand out as totally modern fuzzes?

Well, they're almost all based on classic circuits. :idk: John just tweaks 'em heavily.

It's pretty much up to the player to get what they want from 'em. :snax:

I'm interested in the variations. I still like variants on old pedals, even muffs. Since I've started playing a different instrument, everything has kind of changed in what I want for that instrument. hah.

If I had to absolutely choose which pedals I was interested in and it was ONLY 4, I'd go with these

Bi-Bias (this one sounds fucking killer to me and sounds like it would compliment my playing style)
Scarab Deluxe
Fuzz Mutant

Are you telling me that ILF has turned into a joint for 60s-classic-fuzz lovers ? :snax:
