until July 15th

thinking of getting bilbao and or abudhabi to round out gadget with some sampling...

BM3 has been crashing on me for some reason

other topic:
do I remember something about iOS13 breaking IAA or something?
still on 12...
IAA is being phased out on purpose. AUv3's for life. :sunglasses:

I own most of korg's stuff already, save for the iDS-10...because I have the ds-10. :idk:
Still, this is the perfect time to pick up gadget for y'all.

BM3 can crash if you load too many AUs, they are working on it but they have a really extended time between their updates. Which is what irks me the most about the DAW.

So...connie...what ipad are you running now? i've been messing with some of this stuff on my phone and I need more space. Also, you use an external keyboard with a lot of these?

I'm running this years iPad Pro, which I had been saving for and was my big purchase this year, but all the apps I run still work on my Air from 7 years ago. For Keyboard I just run my usual Launchpad in note mode, but I have a Birdkids OffGrid on the way.

Having said that when not using an external keyboard I love Kai Aras' KB-1 Keyboard suite, which has all of the control surfaces you would ever need.

On a similar note I have to Bring Up Bram Bos' Rozeta sequencer suite, which is super creative and a lot of fun. All of his apps have great on screen playable controls and in some case make the app. Like the Mononoke synth, which is his take on the Lyra-8.

Thanks all. Looking at a new air right now--pretty insane that the 256gb is $150 more than the 64gb

Yeah! The Airs are a total gem this generation, for the price you are getting a lot of power and a lot of cool features. Which is crazy to say when it comes to Apple.

Just wanted to pop in and profess my love for Drambo and Fugue Machine, I’m having a blast with those apps. Fugue Machine is incredible for generating melodies from very simple sequences, I have way more fun and success making music with that. Now I just need to understand MIDI and AUM a bit more so I can use it to sequence other things.

Tap the little midi snake button on top of aum, tap the square in the grid where the fugue machine head you want to use and the app you want to control meet. Find bliss. :zen:

Thanks buddy! I’m gonna give it a whirl after work today. As much as I love Fugue Machine, I think I’d like to hear it sequence other synths/samplers a bit more than the stock sound of FM.

Crazy, too, that the current Minis pack the same power. But based on my older gen Mini, I definitely want more screen space to play with.

The biggest gotcha about upgrading to a Pro from an Air or Mini is losing the headphone jack. Which futzes with my notions of Drambo while on the train, but then again, commuting like that isn’t quite a thing for me for the foreseeable future. I dunno, maybe noise canceling wireless headphones/earbuds are good enough now?

That's why I got this jawn

It also lets me use my launchpad, since it works like the Camera Connection Kit.

New app by the Koala sampler people. This one is an expanded version of the punch in effects of Koala. Sounds great and should be a lot of fun for live play. :snax:
