But I think I prefer Dear from their output over the last 10 years or so.

The Brown Acid series released another record (through Rising Easy Records). It's all music from the 60's and 70's but I have not heard it before and it's 2020. Does that count?

i'll admit to not being as fluent in Boris as i once was. need to give Dear another visit. but yeah, love/evol/w/e is legit.

Hmm I've enjoyed some of their stuff a bit (I think they're one of those bands I've never actually listened to a record but I've seen them at festivals and as a support bands etc about 10 times ) but the last few times I've seen them they've been playing stuff that I do not enjoy at all. Might give this a listen though just to see what's up.

I'm enjoying this a lot more than most of their stuff haha. Maybe I'm just in a good mood or something

haha happy to hear that. Honestly i feel they're getting better with each album, i quite enjoy the first one, really like the second one, but their third and latest - Death Sequence - has been my favorite record of 2019, less math-rock and more prog oriented. A lot more cohesive speaking of composition.
I hope to catch them live if/when bands will be able to tour again.

It has been in my plans every year since it started, even got a couple of friends bands that played there, but life happens etc..
(Also I would love to play some shows in UK again - last time was in 2015 - but with family and everything I don't see it happening anytime soon.)

Yeah I understand. If you ever do get a chance though it's a great time and I'm always there haha
