Where is echorec? This thread does not feel right without him. Not a dig at all those contributing. I just look forward to reading these and his input every year.

Unnerving the way the big synth companies get their product to a half dozen youtube channels to all drop videos at 12:00:01AM

Keeping an eye open on this one only because of curiosity. From the brief clips he uploaded it sounds really similar to the Woozy.

Skitter is basically what you said, but you can do trem on reverb, dry, or both, and you can invert the waveform so it essentially crossfades between them. It’s super cool. Doesn’t get quite to audio rate speeds but it gets pretty crunchy at its fastest setting.
Cool, curious to hear some demos!

Hurriedly skipped ahead through that, but there is a bunch of wow in there. Very interesting.

Damn that's cool. Haven't been interested in any synths for a while outside of the grossly overpriced Mellotron's but that seems to do a lot of Mellotron stuff and more. Hope it ain't over a grand...
Edit: I'm a big dumb dumb, price is already announced. Pretty reasonable.

No you're not. They tried to hide it. Figures the first time I have absolutely no reservations/complaints on a synth... I'm not on the synth market

I'm unlikely to get one at launch anyway, this year is supposed to be a big saving year and I'm in that incredibly boring phase of "yeah but I have a VST that already does that and I'm not playing any shows". I just hope these things are $500 on the used market a year from now so that I can get one then. 2019 was a big flop for me in terms of new gear, I really hope 2020 doesn't follow the suite of this synth and keep uh... appealing to me.

I'm similar as of this morning I decided I'm going "Cuba" with my gear. An embargo has been placed so... whatever I have now just... has to work... and for the foreseeable future.
Actually you would be proud of me... I got a new microphone... but it was only because I had a gift card.

Is this the year I sell my cheapy guitars that I keep around just so that I can have different pickups in order to fund a fat necked Telecaster?
Is it?

No. You're going to miss them. Olin knows I hoard crappy guitars... honestly my $30 one is my favorite to play.

Cheap guitars are the best.
I came to realize that once I move in the new home and get the music room sorted, i'd like to have more cheap guitars and just 1 or 2 "totally decent" ones.
You can owe 10 of those cheapos, each one doing its specific thing, and you don't have to worry if you ruin them.
