2 good picks. The skeleton tree movie hit me like a truck.
One of the albums Falls of Rauros released this decade but I'm not sure which.
Kwintessens by Dodecahedron.
Grinderman 2.
A bunch of stuff
I would have never pegged you for a DODECAHEDRON fan... the more you know!
Thanks for contributing!

They are excellent. One of these days I will have a think about other records but there are so many

A rare case where the record label being right about 'cutting down on the material'. MATTHEW FRIEDBERGER 'The Diabolical Principle'. This is the condensed version of his 6 LP Vinyl Only work 'Solos'. While you certainly have to admire the aesthetic conviction... there are trade offs of length and accessibility of the format (this was 2011 when vinyl was "kind of, sort of" back 'in'... but people say that every year... so it doesn't really mean anything.
Point being... I like the shorter version much better!!!
I watched KING TUFF develop A LOT this past decade. I remember hearing the first single of 'The Other' on the radio and thinking, "This sounds like KING TUFF except... good!"
I mentioned anything TOBACCO put out earlier but seeing as this was a collaboration (with ZACKEY FORCE FUNK) I think deserves a special mention.
DEMON QUEEN - 'Exercise Tape'

Actually, ZACKEY FORCE FUNK is responsible for one of my favorite concert moments this decade. I was at Underground Arts in Philadelphia. When Zackey Force Funk opened... the crowd really was disengaged. No heckling. Just no energy or interest. At one point he goes, "ARE YOU WITH ME!!!" to hype up the crowd and the girl behind me, faintly said, as if speaking to herself, "Not really." but with the acoustics in that room, coupled with the silence of the crowd... filled the room!! It was the most polite/inadvertent/honest "heckling" ever.

I’ve been real burned on “rock music” as of late so my list was almost entirely noise or death metal but there’s some “albums with fuzz pedals” I believe would hold up.
Salem’s Pot “Pronounce This!”
Sleep “The Sciences”
Elder “Dead Roots Stirring”
I kind of hoped Bongzilla would release a new record this decade. I’ve seen them three times and it’s always been amazing - once on their original tour for Stash and twice since and it’s ripped hard. I’ll be praying to the dark ones that we see another album from them in this lifetime.

First favorite albums of mine that come to my mind (and i'm sure are from the last decade because i'm too lazy to check the others):
Swans - The Seer & To Be Kind
Torche - Harmonicraft
Eagle Twin - The Feather etc etc etc..
Zeus - Opera
Thin Black Duke by Oxbow
Both of Grinderman's albums
Pontiak Comecrudos EP might be worth a mention too, also The Death Defying Unicorn by Motorpsycho
totally different genere but Something About April II by Adrian Younge and Cosmogramma + You're Dead by Flying Lotus are extremely cool too.
There are surely plenty of others but right now i recall this ones

Infinity Machines springs to mind first, but I would have to have time to sift through all the old threads on here to remember what came out when
But Infinity Machines is so good. Highly recommended.

Great picks Trem! Thanks for adding. I love ULVER but have not listened to that album.
Yes, I adore that BELONG album so much. I get obsessed with it again like once per year.

That being said I loved Black Future hard when it came out so it was one of those instances where I had to choose "ethos" vs "sick shreds". Personally there's too many bands out there with sick riffs to be overtly loyal to a riff..... also very aware I have a record from Profound Lore on my list and I have heard a lot of chatter recently about that dude so.....

not saying I have a flawless record but even still.....
Vektor guy is a major league twat. I downloaded the Vektor catalogue from Soulseek, because fuck supporting him. I removed his stuff from my Thrash playlist on Spotify so he doesn't get my fractions of pennies.
I wasn't ware of what the Profound Lore guy has been up to. What's the word with him?

I thought this would have been too hard of a list to make, but it was actually very easy. So many great albums.
Most of these are from earlier in the decade because I started digging into older music the past few years.
Yellow Swans - Going Places
Damn of Midi - Dysnomia
Zach Hill - Face Tat
Boards of Canada - Tomorrow's Harvest
Aphex Twin - Syro
Flying Lotus - Until the Quiet Comes
Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly
Chelsea Wolfe - Unknown Rooms
El Trío de Omar Rodríguez-López - Ciencia de los Inútiles
Huerco S. - For Those of You Who Have Never (And For Those Who Have)
Dirty Beaches - Stateless
Tim Hecker - Virgins
The Psychic Paramount - II
Palm - Rock Island

Oh wow, I really like DIRTY BEACHES but never heard that album. I love YELLOW SWANS (and Pete Swanson) for some reason I thought that album came out before the decade started (double checked, look at that... 2010).
Anything HECKER is gold. Same with FLY LO. Thanks kbit.
My DIRTY BEACHES album of choice.

Didn't realise other people here liked Blood Red Shoes. I haven't listened to them in years, not because they're bad but because my tastes have changed somewhat. I think that album was the last tour I saw them on. It's a good album though.
Oh Land of Talk - Cloak and Cipher is definitely on the list for me.
