I saw Dick Dale live one time and I have no memory of a backing band.

Now I’m thinking about visualizations. I’ve always been glued to watching the psychedelic background projections instead of actually watching the band. Am I the only one?
Or should i just project on my face and the rest of the stage so the colors get wonky?
Honestly I’m prob thinking waaaay to far ahead

ETC responding to your music being projected onto you or just behind you would be cool.

assuming i can actually get material sorted in the new year, i am definitely considering a backing-tracks approach to live performance. it just seems so much simpler than finding musicians and imveigeling them to play the parts you wrote. especially living in a place like Charlottesville where everyone wants to play country/bluegrass or Grateful Dead covers (not that i mind having a long Jerry jam upon occasion, but it's not what i want to produce/represent).

Same for me. That’s why I started this thread.
Good luck finding a surf band on CL, let alone them wanting my to dictate policy on all the songs et cetera.

I see the M word a lot in the description.
Is there a yolo swag mode where it just does whatever TF it wants?

I don't know that it goes completely random. Seems like you set up some parameters on what types of colors, shapes, and layering of images and then it responds automatically to either the sound (scope) or rhythm (trigger). Seems really rad.
Bummer their older scopes are no longer in production with their lower price. The ECT seems like it combines the best features maybe?
