I reached out to them multiple times to follow up on problems---*crickets.*
It's been six months since my last order, then a week ago I got an e-mail from some new guy who said he was going to be my sales rep. I said, "You guys have let me down multiple times and you'll need to be more professional and communicate better, if you want any future business." Again, *total silence.* No fake apology, no response, no basic courtesy. I would sternly recommend avoiding them.
Proaudiostar sucks ass. Bait and switch outfit, takes forever to get your money back.

While the standard Moby Dick focuses on emulating tape delays, The Dark Moby tries to emulate the heavy filtering used in analog BBD designs.
The Dark Moby started a couple years ago as an experiment. As many of you know, I am a lover of the PT2399 delay chip due to its versatility and amazing texture. I have been able to tame and master it through the years. About two years ago, I had an off day and decided that I wanted to create a delay voicing that was my own personal, ideal delay tone. I spent the entire day tweaking and modifying an original Moby Dick unit I had laying around. The result is a smeary, warm, dark, & organic delay line with thick modulation.

This sucks to hear. I was gonna order a new mixer from them this weekend but I guess I'll look somewhere else.

I’ve bought from them twice, once on a prior Black Friday, never had any serious complaints. Had some shipping issues on the second transaction, but I’m putting the blame for that on my local FedEx - they blow goats. But obviously YMMV. I’d figure factory warranty and basic CC protections should be enough security for most purchases, but that might not work for everyone. These days I assume everyone is going disappoint me sooner or later.

The closer you get to these, the cheaper they look. It gives me flashbacks of dot matrix printers and shitty iron-on labels. Everything looks so coarse and low-resolution.
I do like the Warhorn's 1970s colors a lot...the others not so much.

If you find a deal at PAS, then you can likely get it price-matched at other big mail-order outfits. Do you have a specific model in mind? Woodwind Brasswind has been doing 20% off single-item tickets this week. (just have to call and request the discount)

Wonder if the Fuck or TAFM will look better in this colorway. Those are the two I need from the regular lineup, and while the discount for multiples is tempting, I think I want all my SSBS in different colors , because... because.

Black Arts Toneworks has some limited release colors up in their reverb shop at a discount.

$122 for this purple people pleaser
Son of Pharaoh for $125, Witch Burner for $112
Has anybody seen good deals on records or merch? I saw Relapse has a decent little sale. Any blowouts going on?

Yeah I wanted to grab the mackie 1202. I actually already emailed perfect circuit to see if they'd price match the coupon code that prostar sent me. I'm just waiting to hear back. I'll definitely check out woodwind brasswund though, thanks for the tip!
