Wow, the Super Flutter sounds incredible. Totally meets my wishes. But it seems like v1 has a recording function that v2 is missing... is that correct?
It seems like the Revolver is capable of covering the same ground, but maybe not as straightforward/easy to use as the super flutter...
The Revolver was a bit daunting to me, but I believe it has more to do with not taking the extra time to learn it versus it being hard to use. It's an amazing pedal. The price is a bit scary however.

The Revolver does a lot of the Super Flutter stuff except the Cutter mode but they do sound different. The Revolver is higher fidelity and does more. It doesn't offer tap tempo though. The Super Flutter with two switches and an expression pedal gives you a lot of on-the-fly flexibility which nothing else does. You can essentially have three different settings or effects all available at any time.
My Super Flutter is a V2. They're such rare pedals that you don't get to be picky about model though. If you see one, buy it. You probably won't come across another.

You're right. It's just that I've watched the v1 demo on the S3N tube after reading your post, I was blown away, and when it reached the load/rec function I thought "God now I need this thing"... And it seems that v2 is the same minus that feature. Always feels weird when an update can do less than a previous version.
Stammen v2 is on its way! I was able to grab one last sunday. It will join my Memory loss, ct5 and Raptio for the Glitch bliss.
I find it very useful (for a better overall view) to divide them into two categories: the playalong/set-and-forget type (Grazer, Possessed, Miniglitch, outward...), and the ones that need interaction (raptio, revolver, ct5, super flutter)... The Stammen being a bridge between both categories..
I have the Revolver II and the CT5 on my board. Revolver for the random glitch, and random auto sample, and the ct5 for mode 2, where I'll record an arpeggio and then let it glitch, then record the next arpeggio etc.

That’s quarter-assed at best.

Don’t want to make this a thread about the CT5, but can you explain what it is about mode 2 that works for you in this situation? I find myself mostly in modes 1 & 3, and so I’m a little unfamiliar with the nuances of mode 2.
