LOL!

I didn't start this thread to get anything for myself, but rather the community. I know I'm not alone in how it's been pretty edgy here lately. No pun intended.

We all need to feel the love again. That's what makes this place awesome. Things like Secret Santa (where you actually get excited because you genuinely like the person you are buying for), BILF (well until we get folks that don't like us involved and prizes lol), circle jerk threads in general (Devi said it best. This forum is one big circle jerk. I like it), and how we can reach out to each other in thread format, text, email...etc.

I wanted to also recognize Louise (Aen's Wife). She has been a major help to me in her kind words when I've been down and I love that she remains with us through all the bs. :)

I can’t say enough praise for this website. If it weren’t for waltdogg and everyone who helped donate and spread the word about the gofundme for my house fire about two months ago. I’ve enjoyed this website for a few years before that, but dang was that eye opening. I don’t have the list handy of who all mailed stuff for my kids and pedals, but it was world changing for is.
Love you all!

Is it any coincidence that this's your 2666th post though? :doom:

ILF is the flipping best

I tend to post more when I am stuck in hotels on work trips

hard to list people because there are a ton of awesome folks on here

Appreciate this thread being started, negativity on here was starting to bum me out.

I've tried typing out a coherent reply to this thread multiple times, but I'm not sure I'm able to come up with the words, let alone name all the people I appreciate. We get excited over the things we are passionate about together, we fight every now and then, we sure as hell laugh and you better believe we've cried a few times too. I like that. Thank you, binary friends.

I just like rapping with dudes who love making weird noises with their shit as much as I do. It makes me feel good to be a part of a community that (usually) doesn't take itself too seriously. Serious conversation about sounds and devices from the beyond, sprinkled with a liberal application of dick jokes and strange bear memes. I dig it all.

I was never the most active poster, and I've definitely been fading away from here for a couple of years now (hell, this must be my first post in months). But topics like this remind me why I still come around once in a while, and this is by far the forum I've stuck with the longest, and the best online community I've ever been part of.

crochambeau was the first person to really reach out and help when i needed it the most, and has continued to help me with stuff ever since, while being a genuinely honest and sincere guy.

JonnyAngle was the first person on ILF to trade with me in the BST when nobody else really would without really even questioning me.

UglyCasanova's videos were a huge part of me even considered joining ILF.

I am thankful that in general people are so supportive and ready to help each other. D.o.s, Invisible Man, Sharktooth, Skullservant, and a lot of others have all helped me out a lot, both through direct conversations in threads and through non-direct posts about things more than they know

I'm not sure what's left to say that hasn't been said already, but I'm glad I joined. ILF is fun, funny, smart, has tons of interesting music, is supportive, and educational. It's good to belong to a freewheeling gear forum that doesn't have a broomstick up its butt. Y'all are a great bunch.

This place manages to be more fun than most places with less dickheadery than most, too. That's special.
