Well no fucking duh. ;)

I was asking what people's thoughts were on them. Like what makes you want them. Did you read my goddamn post?
Here you go, Chank. Take care of him.

Millions of years after that meteor has hit and the rodents have taken over and evolved, the most used distortion pedal will be called HUMAN. Any surviving signature pedals will be in museums dedicated to our species' folly.

I think it exposes gear heads to the bands more than vice versa.

While I love Russian Circles and Dwarfcraft and that dude named Jwar, the combination of all three doesn't make me want to own the pedal anymore than I already did. However, I am usually turned off by signature gear anyway because I want my sound and not Yngwie's or whoever.

It's good to know other people's thoughts! I personally have never understood the sig gear but then again I never thought of SS/BS special pedals as sig gear, so I guess I'm a bit of a hypocrit.

The most interesting thing to me is that a lot of times the stuff doesn't even seem to hold it's value. Minus the Wata of course, which to tell you the truth, I wish I still had one. I wish I had a Polygrace again. I've had 2 and let them both go like an idiot. With only 20 in existence, I'll probably never see one again.

So, I get it on both sides of things here. I'm glad I can start topics like this and people don't get overly mad. Love this place.

Also, I'm going to make a Polygrace thread like Eivind did about the MASF pedal. Whatever that shit is called. 86? Whatever. :)

I just think people are more into pedals and gear now and there are more companies/brands willing to work with people.
Someone from a band likes a pedal company's products and asks them for some sort of modification on something or someone builds a pedal and thinks the sound suits a certain band and sends one for them to test out. its sounds rad, so they decide release them with special artwork so other people can get them if they are into it. (see: Fuzzrocious Bongripper)

Of course there are some money-grab pedals out there, but i think a lot of them made now are more genuine in intent.
