Aarrgghhhh
From the muff thread, I learned today that LYRA 4 owners are using the CV in, to process external audio. Apparently it works well enough and Vlad advises it.

Okay, just don't pick your nose or eat ice cream sandwiches with those hooks.

I can't take credit for that. It is from the Nobel Prize winning author Shel Silverstein.

It 100% was. It's in the Director's commentary. Smee was Hook's trainer, personal Chef, and occasional sexual partner. Everybody knows this regardless of regular hands or hooks for hands.

If there was ever a time to dust off the microphones and interface, it is now!
I feel like I'm back in school studying. I plan to read the manual every night (which, it's not that dense, so it may be tiresome/redundant).

I used to get really drunk back in the day and try to mash up songs from RENT with MERZBOW...
I'm going to need to see/hear some evidence of this.

They didn't come out very good but I liked them. My favorite was mashing up MERZBOW 'Electric Peakaboo' with 'Over The Moon From Rent'.
Who knows what I was thinking at the time....
MERZBOW - Electric Peakaboo (you need to skip)

RENT - Over The Moon (Film Soundtrack

)

Or mashing up MERZBEAT with 'Take Me Or Leave Me'...you get (not very) interesting results.
Any way, highly not recommended. #dosomethingelse-core #post-dosomethingelse-core

It's not without it's charm.
I go a Bastl Dude today, pleasantly very surprised at the colour this thing can add for 4 AA batteries! The feedback trick can be fine tuned to really beef the crap out of drum machines, before hitting that squarewave craziness. Very impressed! May need 2 to go stereo.
