It's the neck pickup from my Yamaha SBV-500. Basically a normal jazz pickup, but slightly overwound so it has some bass and oomph... it's not a wuss. That's what I hate about most j pickups.

Used to have some Dimarzio Model Js and they were AWESOME, but I needed money. I discovered that I just don't like bridge pickups, and I looooove mudbuckers. With the series/parallel switch, it sounds more like a Ric than when a Ric pickup was in there.

I thought it looked familiar. Got any pics of THAT bass?

I love the Dimarzio Model P pickup and I've been wanting to get a jazz bass again and load it with Model Js, huge fan of the tone in that series.

^I think those are the smoky green, anodized knobs Mammoth teased a long time ago. I don't think I've ever actually seen them on a pedal though. They look sleek IMO.
