And DoS, if you go to those gigs we've likely been in the same room several times by now

Oh what the hell.

Had to bail on Raw Power for Swans (who were fantastic) but it was a very, very difficult choice. Did you see Hey Colossus at the 100 a few weeks ago?
I actually missed that one! Last few experimental/noise gigs I went to were Gnod at Electrowerkz, Sunn o))), and Tomaga at Jazz cafe, Zs + Horse Lords at Cafe Oto.

Electric Wizard is close to wonderful. The tempo stuff drives me a little crazy. Play the same song at the same time, dudes.

I think any sub-genre that gets so specific ends up as a cannibalistic self parody. I honestly think that a lot of these doom bands are like "YES! That sounds just like Electric Wizard/Sleep/whatever!" Rather than "Oh man, that's a sweet riff, but it's pretty much Electric Wizard."

I hate doom music. Except that one band DOS posted that I can't recall.
I love Sabbath though too. I don't consider that doom however.

Your mom is doom.
I couldn't think of anything else to say.

CUT TO:
Aen records a fuckin doom song all by himself... then replaces the opening guitars with synths
"yeah... that's almost forward thinking, right?"

For the inverse, I always wanted to do a 'post-rave' EP and a 'gabber' EP with just my guitar and pedals. I think the latter would be easier what with so many awesome ring-mods and bit crushers on the market.

I have an hour in between meetings this afternoon so I want to cut the lawn (no, I don't mean my pubes, I haven't shaved those in a year and I'm never going to again... fuck trimming too). Someone want to recommend me a doom album they feel really attached to? It could even be your own project, I don't care.
I'm up for anything. Been super obsessed with gnarly SUNN BETA sounds but it does not have to be in that 'palate'.
This is for fun. We're having fun / conversation starter. I'm not going to shit on it, I'm not a critic, I'm a Soy Boy.

I'm such a sucker for stuff like that and dungeon synth.
