This is amazing.

I didn't know Seth Putnam had a "black metal" project.
Seth was a man of many talents.

Three would be more sufficient. We're about quanity here, not quality.

rfurtkamp and goroth, thanks for the enlightenment on HELLHAMMER.
Can either of you share insight into this masterpiece? This is like the gold standard for black metal toanz for me.

Someone said it was in fact a metal zone directly into a mixing board. I know this is not an easy one and I know they're playing has a lot to do with the magic of this album.

Also rfurtkamp, is $80 an outrageous price for a GL-100? I know you got it cheaper but from what you said, I'm deducing, $80 for what that does is probably a good deal. I'm always on the market for disgusting distortion and the fact this has multiple outs only helps.

Nope. Love how harsh and noisy that album is. One of my favorites. We can switch usernames if you deem it appropriate.

No, that's okay. I just don't get it, like, if you listen to the 2 albums before that one, they're both mixed alright, as in, you can hear the drums and whatnot. I don't know.

Thanks Skander!
I'll dig my own grave even more. I used to wear a battle vest (I would still wear it but I lost it) with that album as the main patch on the back.
CARVED CROSS makes ULVER sound like it was produced by Jay Z. If you want indiscernible noisy black metal (I've posted them here before ) check them out!

Lol, I've known a couple of people who were really into Ulver, I guess it's just not for me.

$80 is about high average, it's not into extortion territory and they're not getting more common.
