That's the first I've seen of the Roland Aira modular series. They are only about an inch taller than the Meris. I've constantly been on the lookout for true stereo compact boxes since I made the decision to always confine myself to what will fit on a Pedaltrain Grande. Though I cheat. Like waving your dick back and forth and calling it stereo. Pffft

Rotary effect.
I like the way they implemented the morph between pitches on the Grissom-mobile.

Also, for those that dig the Ottobit but don't have the shekels, you can get a lot of similar functionality from a $139 Roland Bitrazer, though you might have to whip out your phone to dig it.
Do you have a Roland Bitrazer? How do you use it with guitar?
Demos?
I know I'm needy. But come on. Where are these elaborate demos
that you never promised and didn't even mention?

There is a guy on Instagram that uses the heck out of the Rolands. DevonBlueWhitaker.
I'd imagine just an effects loop and a source audio nemesis or broadcast would work just fine in a guitar setting. They are meant to be table top effects first.
Here is a video of masf pedals using the scooper on guitar.

(You'd just need something to send triggers to use the looper stompwise but the bitrazer should be more straight forward).

I've seen those MASF short clips. Intriguing.
Of course I want to see/hear more! The how the why the where.

Haha--I know man--I do need to care more and share more.
Believe me, it's on my mind, because I know I appreciate it when someone takes the time to demo, especially the cheap solutions to bad GAS pains caused by all these sparkly new gold-dipped pedlols. But jeez, it takes me two months to get my hair cut from when I realize it needs doing....
That said, I don't have any guilt pangs about sending someone off on a Bitrazer chase without video demo backup. $139 new off EBay--flat crazy deal for all you can accomplish with the customizer software. Just be prepared to bring the mA.
And what lg sez!

Attend to Professor MacDweebendish:

And reading materials:
http://www.rolandcorp.com.au/blog/insid ... customizer
http://rolandblog.ca/7-useful-patches-f ... r-modules/
So, 31 virtual eurorack modules assignable to knobs, switches and i/o on the box. Sufficient amplification and attenuation to connect your guitar directly to the Aira module and connect the Aira directly to eurorack modules.
Ways to delay, distort, ringmod, flange, chorus, filter your guitar signal on top of the bit crushing/sample rate reduction - - in any order, and in multiples.
Connect your guitar to a cheap Sonuus G2M, and you can directly control multiple oscillators in the box.
And that's just my crippled understanding--hit up a Sensei like Warpsmasher to get the real deal.
I get that the Ottobit is serving up a lot of sonic options with relative ease of use. But if your economic reality requires you to deal in currency of time and effort moreso than cash monies, the miracle of the marketplace is serving you up a five course dinner right now at fast food prices (assuming you've already got a One Spot and a 'puter/paddie/phone). I can't say for sure, but I suspect the Bitrazer will ultimately take you further.

Thanks for pointing towards all the info. Lots to digest.
The YouTube URL didn't work (even after paring the Ws into three Ws from four).
Even in Canada the Bitrazer seems like it can be had at a pretty reasonable price (about $125 US).
So... might be worth a dip into a mega-music store retailer for a looksee listen.

[I keep trying to construct workable youtube link urls from the gibberish yt spits out on mobile, but sometimes the dyslexia wins]
OG post now edited.
Back to OT--even though shimmer is an abomination visited upon the hordes of praisers as part of a long-con soul sweep by Old Nick, I am developing some actual affection for the Merc 7. Though the most likely outcome of continued listening to that demo is I do a lateral and duct tape my Wedge to the top of the amp.

Haha, I didn't mean it in any bad way. Sorry if it came off wrong....
I have the same issue Everytime I post from mobile and check a few times so chankgeez doesn't get me. And mobile is being a pain with the autocorrect and constant monitoring....It's like they are forcibly making us look weird...See that capital everything above?
I'll try to make a vid of the demora in a real guitar setting (meaning hands free). Will probably be a single setup kinda thing with the internal patching (camera is the same device as programmer!).
I think the Merc 7 sounds pretty good and I don't really like reverb (outside of amp springs). Knowing me, I'd get a quadraverb and stare at it and realize I got caught up in hype haha.

Oh, I get you, lgbaby, I get you.
(… and I still can't believe that D.o.S.'s ring modulators don't talk to him.

Haha--no worries, I knew you were backing me.
And yeah, for your style, I don't think the Meris or Quadra/Wedge are the reverb way (maybe for the 0coast though?) . Sometimes I like a gated or reverse with short decay time for the short sharp shock playing

even moreso than springs and whatnot, but mostly I just want dry or maybe a sub-slapback resonant delay unless I'm trying to get spacy.
Wedge is great for the synthies and less fiddly than Quadra, at least in theory.

The Meris stuff looks/sounds very cool. I have a feeling they will be putting out the pedals that we wish Strymon were putting out (meaning not digital Tube screamers and digital Rats).
