I have shouted along to that album so much. Good times.

Was Majority Rule post-2000s? I don't know, they're still one of the best though.

I never got into Daitro as much as everyone else seemed to, this song is a banger though.

Maj Rule definitely rule whether they are pre/post or punk or skramz.

And I never got into Daitro for some reason, same with Raein, but I love La Quiete and Neil On Impression.

Raein is another one that I've always just shrugged off. La Quiete's La Fine Non È La Fine has always been a favorite of mine.

As far as France goes, my favorites have always been Sed Non Satiata and Mihai Edrisch.

I've liked what I've heard from them, but they're one of those bands that is "on the cusp" so to speak. Never remember them when I want to listen to them, and always seem to find them when I don't.

I played with them forever ago. Ezra Buchla was still in the band. I would call them more LA scenster than anything haha.

There is a ton of good stuff out there these days.

Nice! I shouldn't really go around making claims on what is punk and not, what with my love of prog and whatnot.

Haha, nah, I was just messing around a bit. It was freaking awesome that Ezra used to lug around a full 200 series to shows. I think after he left, the sound changed quite a bit. I think 400 Blows was on that bill too (or at least was at the same venue? It all kinda runs together).

The LA people/scene is a bit strange. There is like this indie/art/west coast nowave rock scene, these weird kinda nostalgic scenes (sunset strip, old timers, etc), a young secretive almost metal grinder/PV scene that all that claim punk ownership. They don't mingle much. They all are, I guess. 'Twas always a bit strange in Los Angeles.

They were part of that Abe Vigoda, DNT, The Smell scene. More traditional punk/crust/grind was at house parties and floating around five bars. Old Time bands book with golden voice (they own a shit ton of the venues now and force the addicts down our throats 5 times a year*)

* They ain't bad and their show was a blast...Once.
