Does it have a lot of gain?
Ton of gain. With the waveform knob all the way to left, it sounds a little like a Bender that cleans up like a Fuzz Face, and it's nicest with the volume knob of your guitar backed off. But unlike a Bender or Fuzz Face, it prefers to be the sole dirt into a relatively clean amp, and it sounds awesome that way. With the waveform knob all the way to the right, it's insanely gated, so "tons of gain" kind of loses its meaning because sometimes you can't hear any sound at all. In the middle, it totally cuts through anything without hurting your ears.
Damn, now I want one too

I had a Mastotron that I loved, but had to sell cause it had TOO many controls that kept distracting me

More limitations, with a gain control always at 10...Seems like the perfect Mastotron version for me :)

Aren't they both alternate versions of the Woolly Mammoth?

Montreal Assembly Your and You're. Super gated oscillator-based fuzz. Totally bonkers-mode.

I actually had a Mastotron and hated it :idk:

Yeah, if I had a Mastotron, I'd just set it and leave it for a basic crunchy rock fuzz and then use the Fuzzolo for the good stuff. For a while I had a stompbox knob volume pedal that I'd use to attenuate the input on the Fuzzolo. I don't know what happened to it.

One of the funnest things to do on a Fuzzolo is to set it to a gated setting and back off your guitar volume and then use it with an envelope filter and the combination of staticky decay and filter make it sound synthy AF.

I'm gonna mention this because I secretly hope someone pops up and can offer gutshots: SS/BS blargg-o-tron-o-tron.
I imagine there's a tiny club of owners that are unlikely to ever get rid of them, though.

If I had to pick *one*, that'd be it.

And then use some standard, boring dirtbox for everything else.

Voltage starve Test Pattern plus additional noise and chaos switches....is a thing of ugly beauty.
Thanks for re-reigniting my gas buddy :thumb:

Lotsa great suggestions here!
Velcrobot needs a mention.

I thought the fuzzolo was a pwm fuzz but you dudes' descriptions say otherwise.

I guess the new Frazz Dazzler will be one of those unique sounding fuzz.
