'sup yalls. I sent DannDubbleEwe an email about the MS20 pedlols.

a little basic info if you guys are curious.

-9V friendly, it'll work on pretty much anything up to 18V just fine, so no funny power supply stuff.
-CV input
-EXP input
-HP/notch/LP
-up and down sweep
-knob tweakers paradise
-1590J sized box, so like a 125BB, but a little longer.
-yep

Yes please!

Vid, this is envelope or CV for the sweeps, no LFO. Happiness is LFO, no envelope.

Plus the filter itself is different. Filters are like snowflakes, no two quite alike. MS20 filter is a "classic", aggressive filter. Lots of character.

I don't know if it's really about "enough" so much as different flavors... like does anyone here need 20 fuzzes? No, but it's nice to have variety.

ah yeah gotcha, envelope.

yeah was wondering in regards to the filter character, did anyone try the happiness and feel that it wasn't doing what the ms20 filter does? I think it sounds rad, but I haven't tried it in person.
It's in the same ballpark but not the same sound..... it's slightly less rough 'n' ready or something, but can get there with a nice bit of drive which I'm sure you have to hand! ms20 Korg filter is/was my favourite filter forever, but it won't really do anything left of aggressive in a pleasing way. I got a happiness a couple of days ago and I would definitely put it on par for sound quality and general badassery. Plus it has the scramble functionality to get your glitch on. Using it has kinda been a revelation, I always felt filter pedals were supremely inferior to their synth counterparts until now.

Yeah, I would have agreed with you up until quite recently. Weren't we calling 2016 the "year of the filter pedal"?
