Thanks for the advice dudes - it's given me quite a lot to think about now that we are getting settled into our new space. The bad news is that it doesn't look like there will be anywhere to keep gear out...at all. My guitars are under the bed as well as some other stuff, so that space is pretty well taken up already.

Right now the simplest thing to do would be sell one cab, one pedal board, and maybe one of the amps. I'll probably start there, especially since even if I scale down to a combo, I will still have to drag that shit out of the garage and hook it up every time I play. From there, I may purge everything except my guitars and some of my pedals and build back up from there. My biggest reservation about moving to a combo comes from the cabs, actually - I'm afraid I'll miss what little low end and punch I get in my low volume dad-riffs.

Thanks again yall.

Would it be worth considering going with some sort of setup that would allow headphone use and keep your amp(s) and cab(s) in storage for the time being at your rental. Maybe you could further deal with downsizing when you get settled into your next permanent home.

A) Vid's feet are pretty comfortable.

B) this qualifies me to talk about living in spaces where space is limited.

C) If you can sell easily replaceable stuff to free up the spot, I would recommend that.
good deals are here.

This is a solid possibility. I've been thinking about one of those little Yamaha desktop amps, since I'd actually have room for that. Listed everything buy my guitars and Marshall cab locally, so we'll see how much of it moves. Until then, it can live in the garage and will be set back up once we find a bigger/more permanent place.

Going with this. I can replace anything but my cab quickly/cheaply so it's all for sale. And if things go my way, maybe I'll pick up a snazzy Marshall 18w head or something and fully enter my dadrock phase.
