Perhaps the Novation Circuit would be a good option? I think it is supposed to be intuitive to use and very self-contained.

Circuit has quite limited sample storage space. It's got a nice synth inside though.

That's a shame, it seems to be a pretty popular machine, perhaps they will release an upgraded version at some point. .

the best part about the Circuit is the active support of the (more reasonable) requests of the user community.

but yeah. i am locked in with the Electribe. it was a gift from the wifey, so even if i wanted to move it, i couldna. and i have this never ending love for the Electribes because i spent SO much time with the og M version. and the Circuit really falls into the same.... milleu? is that the right word? pretty similar idead machiners.

oof. looks like Maybe Out Of States Thing, a trip to Chile next NYE, then we want to do a couple or three weeks in EuroVille, mebbe at the middle the year.

OH SHUCKS. GOTTA GRAB AN OP-1 AS QUICK AS I CAN. DARN.

..... looking around, don't see any being moved used. and TE is saying they will ship mid Jan, early Feb this year new 'uns. do they pop up used often?

I infrequently check eBay/reverb when I remember I want one, there's generally at least one going most of the time I think?
