I love it. Absolutely love it. I'm down for anything Trent does these days. It's nice to see him create these insane textures. Is it like the old NIN, no not really. Is it like the new NIN, no not really. NIN has always seemed more like a concept to me than a band. It's whatever Trent wants it to be and it's always evolved in ways that I've enjoyed.
I have the vinyl coming and if they do another tour, you bet your ass I'll be there.
I think people set their expectations too high for this kind of stuff and forget to just enjoy it for what it is. Brilliant music.

Finally downloaded the Deviations files today. Haven't listened to it in full yet, but I feel mixed on it thus far. It's really great to be able to focus on different elements of the songs that are less prominent with the vocals there, & the unreleased material is cool on first impression... but the tracks don't segue into each other which does kill the vibe a fair amount, especially with how great the segues were on the "real" record
Lesson to be learned: avoid the hype. I should have done my research before plopping down my money, because I didn't know instrumentals were released via Apple music last year, and they didn't segue into each other either. That "limited one time pressing" business made me impulse buy, and they're still available for purchase. Meep.

Wait??? You can buy it via Apple?? Where at??
Is there anyway I could sweet talk you into burning me a copy of this? I really want it but can't afford it at the moment.

ftfy.
Also you guys gotta think about relative sizes of fanbases when it comes to "one time pressings." Nine Inch Nails is going to press a lot more records than most bands.

Yeah I know, I still thought it might have sold out. I didn't take into account that they would press via the ammount of orders they got, which it seems is the way they did it. The hype was too hype

Nah, the Fragile and With Teeth were made available via Apple Music, their streaming service. But you can download them both via torrents or mega upload links here:

Dude I literally have no idea how to do the whole torrent thing. LOL!
I saw they are all on youtube though. So at least now I can listen to them.
I don't care what anyone says. I fucking love NIN and always will. I want the album really bad. I want all their shit on albums. I still have the Closure VHS and it's one of my most prized possessions.

There used to be a tracker for LAstfm that converted plays into minutes. I think my NIN count was 20,000 minutes so clearly I'm just a mark.

I was never really into The Wretched but this version is actually sick. Maybe I've just been overlooking these riffs all along...

Has anyone received the "physical component" for Not The Actual Events yet?!?!

I hope that it's a monolith like in 2001.
I made my own monolith out of cheese in anticipation. Maybe, just maybe, Trent will send all of us some extra sharp cheddar!
