I'm sure he voted for Brexit, too, just saying that in this instance he's potentially expressing some potentially justified rage at (obviously) the wrong target.

Looks like a case of an old dude that doesn't know how to use fb to private message and just flew off the handle. Hopefully he'll be reasonable in any other correspondence about it once he cools off.
Off topic but is anyone else scared of becoming a racist angry hateful old dude? You think these guys were always dicks but then I've seen a couple people I know start out cool and then slowly head down the road to bitter racist curmudgeon and it's kinda scary. My father-in-law was a California super liberal when I met him but after about a decade in small town Texas he voted for Trump and has some uncomfortable views on minorities (which is weird since he married one, but then logic and racism don't go together).

fuck.
that's terrifying about your father-in-law.
i think i'm afraid i could fall further into apathy. i think it's a matter of knowing when being too apathetic means you're suddenly a racist, homophobic dildo.

As you get older, society changes around you.
Most of the folks aren't racist or Xist or -phobic anything.
They're just of a different time and value system.

I am an angry tumbleweed rolling through Bob's Country Bunker.

Ian is one of the good guys. His well tempered response speaks volumes when compared to one that seems ill tempered in comparison.

Just to provide an optimistic counter-point, when I met him my father-in-law was an old coot who would give us warnings about "getting mugged by black guys" when we went into the city to go to a museum. Ten years down the road he has very progressive views and spends a lot of his facebook time retweeting insufferable Occupy Democrats crap.

Still no emails from Pepe's lawyers! Meanwhile he is happily advocating the use of torture on his facebook wall, oh dear!

It's hard to tell whether it's a troll account or if the dude's gone senile.

Hopefully said torture involves the use of soldering irons.
