His tones are always way darker than you would expect. Works for that band though. Possibly because a lot of stuff in the guitar range is actually bass.

Josh Homme used an ampeg 810 on all the Kyuss stuff, I'd assume that could be an inspiration. It sounds so cool I'm actually surprised more people don't do it.

i've used my ampeg 8x10 from '78 for guitar a few times, t'was pretty rad.

I played guitar through an SVT > fridge once and it was brutally wonderful.
