I like micro pedals. The Chinese brands probably aren't considered to have much street cred but I think some of their pedals are quite "cool". A few distortion/fuzz pedals that might be worth considering are:

Mooer Fog (Woolly Mammoth clone).
Mooer Black Secret (Turbo Rat copy).
Tone City Fuxx Fuzz (Foxx Tone Machine variant).

I have the Accountant as well and love it. It's on a Diago pedal riser with the EAR delay and they look so cute together. Try placing two pretty micro pedals next to eachother and tell me that's not the cutest thing.

Following up on my previous comment, I've found several brands with nearly identical pedals. My question is, why? What is there to gain from putting out what is most likely the exact same pedal as someone else, when the market seems so saturated already? I don't business well, so maybe someone here knows their gameplan.

I've encountered conflicting explanations but there are definitely numerous micro OCD clones, for instance, produced in China and marketed under various different brand identities. The clones do seem to vary somewhat though, at least sometimes, as I've read on Ovnilab that the Diamond CPR-1 copies from Mooer and Hotone differ in quality. There are also some Mooer pedals that seem to be unparalleled within the context of the Chinese pedal scene (Fog, Bass Sweeper, Skyverb, etc). Hotone make some pedals too that are not available under other names (Wally, Soul Press).

Probably because mooer started making clones and is moving towards in house designs, an example being the Devin Townsend delay thing they are currently developing.

I think they've always produced original digital pedals but they also make some analogue clones that none of the other Chinese brands seem to bother with.

Yeah that is pretty cool.

J Mascis has got a dedicated board for micro pedals, the D-Sound Muff seems interesting.
