well gang re: keeping an eye on gear pedal boards not being stolen 'n all that - i own a venue. it has a room aside from the stage where all the bands performing that night load their gear in & out of. there are big signs on the door to the alley that say LOCK THE DOOR OR YOUR GEAR MIGHT GET STOLEN and yet about 95% of the musicians are idiots and either don't notice that or can't read or something, since it's almost always left unlocked aside from my staff and myself locking it when we go through that room to get supplies from the back and notice.

anyway - small time bands don't sit w/ their gear and watch it the whole night. none of 'em. (except maybe yours.) i wouldn't want to either, i'd want to see the rest of the show and meet some people who in hopes like my band.

stuff gets stolen. stuff gets forgotten. shit happens. i was just messing w/ a lineup last night and thought "fuck, what if i lost this pedal?"

Well, yeah. That's why they're musicians.

Pork Loin but that's my first choice anyway. Barring that, OD-3 because it's great.

Blues driver and SD-1 are both pretty legit for standard od sounds.

I definitely had a TU-2 stolen at a show once, but never anything fancy. I guess everyone needs a tuner...

Neither of those circuits have changed at all since their introduction, even when the sd-1 went MIT it was the same.

Rad pedals.

Closest I've gotten to a Mini is the Boss XT-2. Low gain sounds get really close to mini on low bias.

XT2 is mad underrated for robot metal.
