Isn't the death metal still available though? Or has the circuit changed or something?

Never used the Digitech branded Death Metal, just the DOD. It does have "a sound" so i'm sure somewhere out there, some harsh noise wall bro is posting on some message board about how the Digitech Death Metal doesn't have the same toan or whatever.

I will have to buy this pedal. Used the OG circuit on the record my band is currently making, and wrote multiple songs referring to The King In Yellow...NERDGASM

the Death Metal is discontinued.

Also I just prefer the styling of the 90's DODs. Cult of the missing battery door or something. :!!!:

Oh no, they discontinued the Death Metal?

I mean, I already have 2 Digitech ones, plus one each of the DOD version (first issue and B version), but that's so sad. How will the harsh noise wall artists of the future get these valuable resources at a reasonable price?

(HNW dude here). Also, I think I prefer my Digitech ones, but maybe that makes me a heathen?

It does make you less KVLT or whatever, for sure.

I didn't realize you were a HNW person. That makes... four of us? Even if I don't really make it for anything other than personal consumption.

Obviously they should reissue it in the fancy new boxes. Black sparkle death metal 2016 :joy:

The idea of a $100 New Death Metal is amusing, if nothing else. I would actually get a bit shit-flippy for an updated Buzz Box though, f'real.

It seems like DoD should do what EHX did a few years ago: release a shitload of dirt pedals that no one knew what they did. Except everyone will know what they do and in pretty boxes

I paid maybe $36 for mine like a month or two ago. I love the Death Metal pedal and other old CHEAP Digitech/DOD stuff.

And the only reason I got it was because I saw a picture of THE RITA's set up and there were two of those.

I wanted a high gain distortion pedal and hate to say it but I liked the sound of the DOD Death Metal more than anything on the "boutique" market. That said I have a WMD Acoustic Trauma on its way.

Yes...I do want another Death Metal though...

I regret selling my DOD death metal during a pedal purge years ago for like $20 or 30. That said, I could get another for that price, sooooooooo. It instantly made my bass sound like a crappy 90s crust/grind band.

I dig the shit out of the clips that were posted. The new DOD stuff seems to be killing it lately. Really just Digitech in general.
