The first Tombs record (Winter Hours) is fucking rad, the next two are ho-hum (that third one in particular is not so great), but I heard a little from the new one they just put out and it sounds pretty fucking redeeming.
So I'm with spacey on the consistency thing.
They have done some great stuff though.

I don't hear much noise about them here in the UK, unless I've just managed to ignore it. It's the kind of crap that gets played on "alt" music TV between midnight and 5am here.

Reading the Youtube comments of people saying how amazing their music is makes me weep. There are thousands of people who seemingly have dicks for ears.

Yeah... it's all image. They are admittedly an *interesting* band, which is different from being a *talented* band. They put on a good live show, they're the perfect bridge between Bieber and Bring Me The Horizon and thirteen-year-olds need that bridge.

But yeah they're killing it. Financially... I think it's safe to say everybody involved in the band is making a living off of it.
