Don't think you need to split it, cuz it's cv? I think? EXP pedals need to be duplicated, as they aren't 'sending' a voltage (is my very limited understanding). Using the 8 Step is more like multiplying a voltage, which means you can just build a box of jacks wired together. I think.
But...Imagine:
1) Fat Fuzz Factory modded with a four-way toggle to select the destination of cv (gate, comp, drive, stability).
2) CT5 (control over all parameters except mix)
3) BitQuest (fecking control over gain OR flanger feedback, filter resonance, bit crusher modulation, verb pre-delay, notch envelope, ring mod modulation rate, pitch, and delay modulation)
4) Gravitas (everything)
5) DD-7 (mix, feedback, delay)
Combined with a Patchulator...off to the races.

I thought I read something somewhere about linking 1 cv out to multiple cv ins could potential apply voltages to pedals that are higher than they should receive (and fry them), as the voltage(s) would go via every pedal in that chain. I'm totally no expert on that though. A box with bypass switches for each cv in would get around that though I guess.

I have done this and it works. Different pedals expression inputs might look for different values, though, and the range setting on the 8-Step might not work the way you'd want.

Yeah, 8 steps are also really good for rythmic stuff! With anything probably! And not too expensive either

Sequencer into Copilot Caracol (external jack to modulate the incoming signal via external sources).

I'm still not sure I get the caracol. Rtfm, but it sounds like you feed the external jack a carrier input from something else? Would cv work for that? Not sure what it would sound like...

I'm not sure about CV on the Caracol, but I get confused by CV anyway. I think it is just for signals, it's like an input jack into the circuit.
I used a sequencer to inject rhythm into the caracol fuzziness ... and everything after it.
You want to hear it? I could try that again.

was going to chime in with slicer, looks like it's been well represented but with good reason
frigging awesome
I was using an empress tap trem for choppy rythm stuff for a while but the slicer does way more in combo with a pitch factor it is pretty rediculous
I think the cource audio polymod phase filter comes close but not nearly as choppy

I seem to remember a video (which I can't find) of someone who rigged a photo eye to a TRS jack inside the Slicer underneath the led ring so they could also use it as an expression pedal for other effects.
