That's defintely not the best thing Pavement ever did. (Although, it's not that bad.) Got nothin' on the Sonny Sharrock Space Ghost theme.
Here's some of the best Pavement:

Best Pavement is literally too tough a call. They're one of "my" bands where I can literally listen to their whole discog in order over a couple of days. Like musical bingewatching.
Lately I've been enjoying the multiple versions of "The Hexx" found on BTC Deluxe.
"Zurich Is Stained" is the one that gets caught in my head the most, though. "You think it's easy, but you're wrong. I am not one-half of the problem." You tell 'em, SM
Fact: when Billy Corgan said, "Well, if you think about it, nobody wakes up in the morning with a Pavement song in their head," that was the moment I truly suspected what an uncompromising cheesedick he is. Transphobic drama with Devi cemented it years later.
Hey, look! Happy Pumpkins songs

I started this thread because I was looking for alternatives to Pavement, since I can literally make mixtapes that are all Pavement and Superchunk at this point.
Date W Ikea is the best Pavement song. It is my life.

Are we just going to ignore this blatant crime against humanity to talk about Pavement?

I once saw the Red Hot Chili Peppers play with Queens of the Stone Age and Mars Volta. Stalin killed millions of Russians. Coincidence? I think not.

"'A child dies from starvation every five seconds.' Which burdens this poem with a good... sixty-four. But we come and go, talking of [Pavement]..."
— Marina Keegan, as paraphrased by casecandy
Also, "Grounded" is the best Pavement song. Everybody knows that.
