Yeah, that Mustang looks awesome.
Probably required a bit more woodworking skills than most people have, though...

I didn't have any woodworking skills either, but then I read hundreds of build threads on TDPRI and Talkbass, until I could no longer resist the urge to build something for myself. Then I made a few (or several) mistakes until I figured it out!

How is the sound different? I considered getting a Musicmaster body for my bronco until I decided that there were too many variables -- neck pocket depth etc -- and that there probably wouldn't be any difference. Is it now a TONE MONSTER?

I have a modded Bronco that i bought last year. The dude who I bought it from stuck a seymour duncan quarter pounder pickup and a gotoh bridge on it. It sounds pretty good and the neck feels a bit more comfortable to my guitar-playing hands. I bought it so my girlfriend could learn to play bass on a shortscale, but then i fell in love with it

Bronco is really cool with a good pickup, especially if you can find a body using a good wood.
The stock bodies are routed for a humbucker. They sound cool with Lipstick tubes.

My next project is in the phase of meticulous 04:35 planning and I think I'm gonna convert a bronco to a bass vi. There is a few vids on yt who are similar to this, so I guess it works. One is a bronco the other one a squier jag bass. Both fun and solves my bass vi GAS
