are the saddle slots for the strings filed out? that does the trick on most adjust-o-matic and tune-o-matic bridges with tremolo systems.

Still loving every bits of mine. Change the pickups to classic JM style ones and you've got yourself a pretty cool Jazzy on the cheap. Even though the pricing on these has gone up significantly.

Yeah, everything's as it should be, the tremolo is just terrible on mine. Use it and everything is dropping half a step.

The recent "deluxe" model appears to be the Mascis rebranded. Same guitar, but in Candy Apple Red and black knobs & pickup covers. Also comes in Hardtail flavour.

Bizarrely, in the places that still have the Mascis on sale, the Deluxe is cheaper. No idea why.

Trem is cheaper, Mascis and the one with trem are the same price.
