Thanks for the store recommendation, I'll be going tokyo-hiroshima-kyoto-osaka-tokyo so I'm pretty sure I can hit up some different stores although I looked at the hard-off site and they have one but it's not too much cheaper than in the use at maybe round 10-40 bucks cheaper. Either way it's not till April so I still gotta wait to start looking for stores that may have it. It seems other stores have a load of PS-2's might have to pick up another one haha.backwardsvoyager wrote:if you're specifically wanting the lo-fi factor then RV-2 > RV-3, they're both fantastic pedals but the 2 has a more grainy feel and the EQ control seems to have a wider range, you can tune it to be really shrill or really deep. i haven't compared it to an RM-1N or anything new like that but it's definitely 'shittier' than the bitquest and any other verb i've tried (in the best way possible).
finding cheap RV-2/3's in Japan is kinda hit and miss, from all the guitar stores i've been to over there they seemed to be some of the less common boss pedals and most places in Tokyo especially aren't really that cheap. some stuff is an amazing deal and some stuff is pretty overpriced so it depends on the pedal. Hard-Off stores are generally cheaper than Ishibashi or similar, it's worth checking their web mall https://netmall.hardoff.co.jp/ to see if there's anything not too far from where you are because some really good deals pop up on there from time to time.
(edit: i'm used to australian dollar exchange though so yknow what you'll probably be fine, haha)
Yeah that's what I wanted to know thanks for letting me know the experience on the EQ. I was hoping that it could be pretty deep too so that helps as I'd rather not have to try and eq my amp to be wary of really shrill tones. I love shitty sounding stuff in the best way possible so that's always goooooood
