opened this thread expecting something about sidemounts from El Ten Elevenstrings.
Was not disappointed.

So far TC support is a joke - they don't have the manual and can't verify whether or not multiple FX can be applied at once, but think that it's not likely.
This is approaching fail.

It looked like multiple fx can be applied on Kayzer's video. And the Ditto x2 would let you do both reverse/halftime so I don't see why not. Though maybe there's a limitation regarding the loops (or has to be both loops etc.)

Likely all of the dudes that answer these questions are getting drunk on shitty American beer and shittier tequila in Anaheim Steamroller right now...

Okay, got one ordered. This is hopefully set to replace my Infinity, but either way I'll be able to offer some comparisons between the two if it'll help anyone.

Fucking awesome. Pretty much what I had in mind when I was hoping for Line-6 to come up with a dedicated DL-4 style looper. Opposed to the akward spacey looking JM4 that's just way overkill for most guitarists. Gotto say though, the X4 is still also kinda overkill for me personally. But maybe this means used X2's will hit the market for even less than what they go for now

I should probably try to score some. But still, having to buy special cables just to use a stereo pedal in stereo sucks. I can make pancake patches for less than $2.50 each, so even buying EBS doubles my cost. And it's entirely avoidable since it's a big fricking pedal with lots of space to work with. T.C. is really bad on this point, and I still really like my HOF.
I also hate this about the Zoom MS pedals, and DigiTech is going the wrong way compared to their pancake-friendly Hardwire and iStomp cases. Most people must just use them in mono or be comfortable needlessly paying out the ass on cabling. Obviously I'm not happy about it.

I just ordered one of these too. Seems cool! I literally bought an x2 last week. You'd think I'd learn to not buy stuff right before NAMM. I was still looking for a larger looper, so I'll likely hang onto the x2.
Regarding potential market drops for the x2, I don't think there's a lot of room for them to go down. You can find them for $100 already, and the smaller ditto is not far under that. With the x4 at $250 (or $200 with a discount), there's still a huge gap between that and the x2 for people looking for a smaller looper.

I'm considering picking up a second X2 if folks keep shedding them like this to get X4s...

I expected a little more from the Ditto X4. Ideally the FX switch could have been a footswitch to cycle through parameters hands-free. The global stomp would be a big bummer for me. I can see how many people will love the Ditto X4, and I say cheers to them, just ain't for me. I am still a huge fan of the DL4 though, and my ideal looper would at least start there but have a dozen stomps for for more creative ways to mangle and change loops. But that is just me and my approach to looping.

I'm pleased as punch about this release and I'll definitely own one before years out.

Anyone know if you can change the rate of the HOLD FX?
Also... I thought the ONCE effect would be "ONE SHOT" like on the DL-4. That's disappointing.

Does anyone know if the ditto x2 or x4 does tempo recognition or compensation for not tapping at the perfect time? I am trying to understand why I can loop WAY better with the ditto than with my EHX 360. I seemingly cannot get the 360 to finish sampling on the right beat. The ditto is a piece of cake, and I didn't have issues with my Strymon timeline either.

I wonder if you're having the same issue I did with the 720, which I detailed this morning in the Show Your Pedalboard thread:
The 720 is superior to the Ditto X2 in a lot of ways, but the footswitch is a huge difference that it took me awhile to figure out. On the X2 you can loop on the 1 (in a typical 4 count or 8 count or whatever), but with the 720, you actually hit the footswitch on the 4 or 8 or whatever the last count would be of the sequence you are looping (or on 0 if that makes more sense to your brain). It's a little weird to get used to when I've been using the Ditto and X2 for years, you definitely have to think a little more (or I do
).

What does the x4 have over the DL4. The ability to import loops into a DAW and effects? Anything else?
Can't decide between a x2, 720, x4 or DL4
