There was a time when I liked a couple of their tunes, but it's probably just because of the post-coital afterglow of listening to ATDI's Sleepwalk Capsules or Enfilade in the same day.
"Hello, mother leopard...I have your cub." Recently figured out that that was IGGY FUCKING POP doing that bit. Iggy and I are from the same town (Ypsilanti, MI).

Bosnian Rainbows is/was better than Antemasque ever will be
I'm afraid ATDI will pull a Refused. It would be awesome if they pulled a Failure though

Not that I know of, but Omar has been less of a teas more of a "Oh while I've been posting live photos or whatever here's 57 new projects I just did in the last year or whatever"
Meaning.... you know... a new BR album could get announced anytime. Same with this ATDI thinger. The only thing I hope won't happen again is another The Mars Volta record... unless it's nothing like the last one. Then I'd give it a chance

(for the record - I love TMV)

And to keep spraying lighter fluid on the fire Antemasque is better than Bosnian Rainbows, and is also better than pre-ROC ATDI.
But, really, I would love to see that. I think you wrote about crescendo-core or something, which made perfect sense...but is so ridiculous.
Gnarlcore
Rocquefortcore
Humblecore
Wisconsincore
Antemasque seemed so tame, but I really don't like much early ATDI, either. Vaya was pretty cool, but that was at the tail-end, right (too lazy to look it up)? Acrobatic Tenement was unremarkable...In/Casino/Out had some cool stuff...I thought Bosnian Rainbows blew (blowed)? That first Volta record was awesome, though. Wish Cedric didn't sing at all on it.
Also...no mention of Sparta in this thread? Is it because they kinda sucked?
Someone else on here came up with crescendocore, although I forget exactly who.
And yeah Sparta are not so good. Really my love of ATDI is squarely focused around Relationship of Command.

Relationship of Command is album that proves you only have to write one good album to be considered a good band.

I think it's also the fact that they released it to basically zero fanfare and broke up as it got huge.

Le Bucharettes>Bosnian Rainbows too.
Bosnian Rainbows were only ok. Terri and Omar made the band (Terri made the show).
Le Bucharettes kicked all kinds of ass opening for Melvins though.

Ive been saying crescendocore for years. Forgot where I stole it from.
Relationship was a revelation when it came out for me, and they were absolutely mental live touring on it, but Vaya is the one I still listen to. Sounds a bit more raw and punk or something, and I just like the songs more.

That is typically why people do their jobs.

Well this is more like going back to do the same job you had at 16 for a few days with (my suspicion) a bigger payout than the job you have now, but that's true.

Yeah, but this one pays. Nobody wants to do ATDI less than Omar, it's kind of sad.
