I think I went to high school with one of the Hologram guys. I'm going to have to e-mail them about checking one out in-person.

Based on the demo, the Hologram Dream sequence sounds like a Slicer without the filter/awesome stereo - but with the addition of custom presets. Kind of like a Slicer got in a fight with the Goatkeeper.

Though the sidejacks are killing me.

Slicer is the worst pedal of all time objectively forever.

Twice.

Really? Love mine. Makes a lot of cool drum style patterns with a drone commander.

I have heard loads of other people do very cool things with their Slicers, much like I'm sure you have heard many people do great things with the MPC.

Deep down I know it's about the wizard and not the wand but the easy answer there is that my wizardry is lacking and I refuse to accept it. Pedal sucks, obvi. That's why I'm saving up for a Klon and a Dumble.

What are you talking about? The MPC is pure trash I don't know why I bought it (unless you're trying to buy the MPC from me, it's the best tool ever created).

I feel you though.

I like the Dream Sequence, but wouldn't that type of effect get old fast in a songwriting context?

might stlll get one though...

Putting two effects together does not make an "entirely new" effect. :idk: It'd be cool for a sample/tabletop setup though.

need some more tech points and spell books my friend lol

also i actually think it is about the wizard & the wand, and the cohabitance of the two.

Wizards and their wands are usually banished from children's play centres, by order of Ye olde town magistrate.

(incidentally I'm sure there was some rad gear used on Double Vulgar)

Ah. Massive photo edit.

To the below: I think I agree.

Damn this is $425, guess it's time to start saving.
It looks fun, especially for a tabletop setup and with midi. But I don't know if it's $425 fun. Maybe if I needed that sound live and didn't want a computer involved. But I could achieve similar tones easily enough with digital effects for much cheaper. I'd be using itwith a computer anyways, so it's not worth it to me. Glad to see people experimenting with different style of effects and midi though.

By the description that Dream Sequence sounds like Harpeggiator from Pitchfactor/H9.
