You raaaaang?!

It's tough buying amps here. You don't see much kvlt going round, I've never seen a sunn or an acoustic on the second hand market. It was cheaper for me to get a hand built custom amp than a second hand dual rec.

How much do you want to spend?
You should come up to my place and jam on some amps...
Yeah, that's what I've figured out too. All the go-to iconics simply don't show up here. How much did you pay for your custom, if you don't mind telling? Was it made in the US or locally?

I don't really have a spending limit but I am fond of the budget-but-still-great category. Not picky and I don't mind some character. Same reason I mainly play Matsumoko-built guitars/basses. All bought for like ~1500-3000kr each ($175-$350).
I paid 1300 EUR shipped from France to Sweden. 2xKT88, 1 channel, clean and loud.

Laneys turn up, albeit seldomly. Sovteks not so much. Plenty of JCM800s, which I think sound great and do the pedal thing really well. Musicman turns up more often though. That HD150 mentioned - I'd hit it!

fuzz party!!!!!

I just need a customer in Sweden, then they can have a problem, and I can fly in to discuss it and swing by.

Don't let him talk you into anything! Cologne is much closer to holland! And fuzz party is a legit verb in german only: funzfeiern! (Which in cologne dialect by incident also means celebrating the pussy.)

Respect the feels!

Otherwise I might send you bodily fluids in bottles! Or mason jars.

Fucked if I know what Folkesson did to it, but Opeth toured for years with VH100s and there are a lot of great tones in that amp. And it is loud and heavy as shit. I'd gas for one if only it didn't have so many freaking channels. All amps should have one channel, all guitars one pickup and one knob. Everything else is pedlols.

The GH100L doesen't get clean ever, but it is also totally rad.

Also, think about where you can get gigs. Sweden isn't the States. The few times my band has been allowed to use our own backline I've had to run my amp in half power mode and it's still "too loud".

Everything gor says is truth, but one awesome channel out of however many is all you need to make an amp great.
Set and forget.
If it's cheap enough and it has one amazing mode, hit it.

Was eyeing the VH100R yesterday. If the Musicman doesn't pan out, I might grab that. Should find out more about that Folkesson dude first though.

Also, I'm upp for fuzz party. Just need to become less of an awkward ex-lurker and join the forum fun for a while longer. :!!!:
