And let's be honest, the EQD lineup is bloated as fuck... well over 40 pedals currently in production, with a lot of overlap.
Agreed. It is why I typically don't get excited about EQD stuff. Seems like a jack of all trades, master of none situation to me.
They have mastered a few trades I think,
pretty much every EQD I have played has been a good pedal and a few have been great,
that said, only 2 will make my new board and they will be very old versions of things
yeah, to each his own, but think they've got some real home runs. i haven't really turned my ghost echo off since i got it years ago. it's not the nuclear submarine of reverbs that a lot of folks around are often looking for, but as far as a fantastic sounding simple verb that works superbly with dirt, i don't think there's any better. i also have a disaster transport on my board and i love it. it's a great sounding digital delay. again, no tap tempo or much in the way fancy adornments, but i think the delay sounds awesome, and i love the modulation and i love that it's foot switchable. i was looking for a great sounding set and forget delay with good sounding foot switchable modulation in the $300-ish or less range and it was by far the best sounding to me in that price range that could do that.
and i regret selling my hoof. it was among the best of the "super muff with kids" type pedals that i cycled through a few years back.
i do agree though, their lineup is bloated and could use some trimming.

They keep churning out cool stuff, so you gotta cut something
The monarch is one of my favorite drive pedals ever
and my tone reaper will always be on my board

I just realized you are from Shermer and it made me really happy.
Is it a Direct Hughes reference or a Dogma reference?
Hughes of course.

top jacks and compact size would be killer
I would also like to see a monarch DI but I am not sure that would ever happen
Just a monarch with some cab modeling and an XLR out maybe an effects loop
This would be amazing. I do basically the same thing thing with my Monarch + the cab sim out on the Big Sky straight into my ipad
It's my favorite od of all time... kinda wondering whether I should pick up a backup

Hopefully they focus on some really new sounds. The Depths and the Rainbow Machine are both novel ideas with unique (or nearly) sounds.

so you get good amp tones with just a monarch and a cab sim on the big sky?
That might be worth looking into
just like a monarch and a red box

This is very true,
I tried to buy a new pedal from MF yesterday on the stupid deal thing and it was sold out
I can't even buy new pedals when I want to
what was it?

sometimes they're immediately out of stock because of all being distributed by distributors who are distributing.

I still wish they'd do a Dispatch Master w individually switchable delay and verb, maybe switchable order. Would be funz.
