Why stop at double tracking?
You've probably got enough clones of vintage pedals to fill up a full 48 tracks.

Yea, there are few that are 100% but I suspect that's due to the extreme parts variance in the old days where -/+ 20% was the norm plus drift.
I'm partial to the parallel versions of the same stuff as well, works stupid well for placement in the mix without going "Hi, I'm superstereo"

I kinda want to try 12 Klones in series. Start with one on, then turn another one on each minute of the song, until there are a dozen Klones transparently overdriving my tone. Imagine, the crystal lattice of tone that 12 klones lightly, transparently enloudening my guitar into a my bedroom volume appropriate amp.
No, seriously, someone send me 12 Klones.

Also, I just got two of the original DOD Death Metals, the original original and the B version. I also have a Digitech version. I like them all, though the high knob on the B version is a bit strange. It sometimes allows for no subtlety with the highs, unless the mids are rolled back.

I was running two Ghost Echoes on my board for a while, pre and post dirt. Real nice.
