Of Montreal (like ^ fell off after Hissing/Sunlandic Twins), Menomena was cool, BSS, Feist, Architecture in Helsinki, Los Campesinos (still like them). But often I can't bear all the snazzy melodies, varied instrumentation and general lack of aggressive guitar noise for too long. I'm more partial now to stuff like The Fresh & Onlys, Ganglians, Thee Oh Sees, Gap Dream... I'll throw on a tape of "progressive/twee pop" every onceinawhile. I can never do the embed.. here's a recent one I got that's good; Werevolves' What Kind of Pet Defines You?
I'd totally have run into you at a show +/- 10 years ago.
Does the Go! Team count?

Holy fuck I have a lot of listening to do.....
I've listened to a shitload of Of Montreal albums. I think my favorites are Skeletal Lamping and Paralytic Stalks ( "We Will Commit Wolf Murder" is probably my favorite song by them), closely followed by Hissing Fauna.....
On Canadian 00's indie rock, check out You Say Party! We Say Die! specifically the album Lose All Time. The other two are good, I just like that one best for some raisins.
I'm on mobile so I don't know how to embed...but click on those jams.
Hate to break it to you man but there is actually two different vocalists in Wolf Parade. And Apologies to the Queen Mary is their only good album. And pretty much every other project Spencer Krug has been involved in better anyway.

Hm, do they have similar voices? Maybe I just haven't listened to them enough. Apologies... is definitely their best, but At Mount Zoomer is a bit more progy, so I thought it might fit this thread. The label prog pop is still sorta weird to me, though. But whatever.

Yeah, they sound pretty similar so I totally can't blame you and their other albums are fine, I was just giving you a bit of hard time . You listened to any Sunset Rubdown dude? If you haven't give Random Spirit Lover a shot, you might dig.

I know, you're just so handsome so I got nervous thinking that you didn't think I was cool and that you didn't wanna hang.

God, this whole thread is like late high school/early college for me

Don't blame her awesomeness for their wishy-washiness!
Also, was Forgiveness Rock Record that bad?!
EDIT: I am listening to it right now and can confirm that it is not
Forgiveness Rock Record was plenty good, but it's so different from the old stuff. It just feels like the made a record of singles for alternative radio stations, which Isn't what I want. The old stuff sits way different with me. Idk.

I feel that. Darker. More chill.
Also, +1 for Wolf Parade. Queen Mary is one hell of an album. I wanna use the words "genre-defining" but can hear D.o.S. getting pissed in my head
